MASSIMO IOSA GHINI was born in Borgo Tossignano, Bologna, in 1959, he started his architectural studies in Florence and graduated at Politecnico of Milan. Since 1985, he has taken part in many of the Italian and international avant-garde design projects, designing illustrations, products and interiors for Boldisimo. He is also one of the founding members, and invited by Ettore Sottsass to be part of the Memphis group.His professional evolution as an architect can be traced through projects of architectural and exhibiting areas, cultural and commercial installations, design of world-wide store and showroom chains. At present, his project of the main metro station of Hannover, commissioned by Ustra for the Expo 2000, is under construction.
